DENS ASI®
How it works
With the click of a button, interviewers can administer either a Baseline ASI interview, the ASI-Lite, or a follow-up ASI interview. With additional prompts and guidance, interviewers will better understand the intent of each item and can initiate more productive responses from the client. The DENS ASI automatically calculates composite scores for you at the end of an interview. It allows you to print both client-level and aggregate-level reports.
Reports
The most popular report is the DENS ASI comprehensive, editable Narrative Report, which is generated from the client’s ASI responses and includes any comments added by the interviewer. The DENS ASI also features a Treatment Care Plan Problem List and a Comparison Report, which compare any two client interviews. Aggregate reports allow you to look broadly at trends in your specific patient population.
Research
Developed in 1998 as part of a national study on substance use, the DENS ASI software allowed researchers to collect more than 60,000 ASI records from clients presenting for treatment across the country. In the past two decades, the DENS ASI has assisted thousands of researchers and clinicians across the United States and internationally.

RoadMAP Toolkit®
How it works
The RoadMAP Toolkit employs a “learning by teaching” approach by breaking down the essential intervention techniques into six content modules, each accompanied by tools that can be mixed and matched by clinicians to engage clients. Modules include a guides, video, posters, and patient worksheets. They encourage group participation, role-play activities, and homework assignments. Each module is designed to be used “off-the-shelf” and requires only brief training to master.
Reviews
When surveyed, a majority of counselors stated that they felt “more confident” leading groups after using the RoadMAP Toolkit materials. Most thought other counselors would learn to use the product quickly, were satisfied with how easy it was to use, and felt the toolkit facilitated better relapse prevention groups. Clients reported significant satisfaction with RoadMAP recovery content.
